PASSPORT & VISA

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months upon arrival in Saudi Arabia. This also applies to accompanying children. You need a visa to enter Saudi Arabia. Hajar Umrah itself takes care of the visa application for the travelers.

VACCINATIONS

VASELINE TIP

It can be useful for the man to smear some Vaseline between the thighs. Due to the temperature and the friction that arises, you can suffer from skin irritation afterwards. A simple tip that can save you a lot of misery

MENSTRUATION DURING UMRAH

You, as a menstruating woman, are obliged to express the intention (Talbiya) at the Mieqaat to perform the Umrah. It is not permissible to delay entering ihram until you reach Makkah and are clean (from your period). However, you should not perform Umrah until you are clean and have performed ghusl.

TEMPERATURE IN SAUDI ARABIA

ELECTRICITY

In Saudi Arabia the power plugs and sockets are of type A, B, C and G. The mains voltage is 110 / 220 V and the frequency is 60 Hz. You need a power plug adapter in Saudi Arabia if you live in the Netherlands. Be extra careful with certain devices because of the difference in frequency.
